Classroom Jobs

Jobs are rotated on a weekly basis.  They help students to be involved and feel a sense of ownership in our classroom.  Here is a list of our current weekly jobs:

Reporter

Find a current news article/video to share during the week.  Students can use a current news article from their community or they can search for a news article or video online.  I recommend using DOGO News which has a large variety of articles geared towards the interests of students.

Custodian

In charge of sweeping the floor at the end of the day and making sure the room is kept neat and tidy.

Assistant

In charge of handing out papers, running errands, and preparing lunch tickets.  Also, assisting with phy-ed equipment and any other tasks that the teacher needs help with.

Banker

In charge of managing the DOJO Bank and handing out DOJO Bucks at the end of the week.

Substitute

In charge of covering the jobs for any students who are absent.

Prayer

In charge of taking weekly prayer requests and leading class prayer time.

Librarian

In charge of books being checked out and returned in the classroom library.
